General Information

Altar School is offered both in-person and online. The next class begins in August 2023 and will be held at The Ark Fellowship in Kannapolis, NC.  Classes take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30-9:00pm (EST). 

ASM is $1249/semester for in-person students and $749/semester for online students.

If you would like unlimited semester access which includes attending in-person classes and online access (Live Stream & Class replays), the price is $1549/semester.

Yes. Classes are Tuesday and Thursday evenings, which allows students enrolled in ASM to work full or part-time.

Classes are Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30-9 pm. In-person students will be expected to serve at monthly Altar services and participate in monthly outreaches one Saturday each month. In-person ASM students will also be expected to attend and serve at two national conferences hosted by the Altar Global as part of their curriculum each year.

No, ASM is not an accredited program.

During ASM students will receive sound Biblical education, training and equipping that will prepare them for future assignments. Students who successfully complete ASM will receive a certificate of completion.

Masks are optional. We ask students who have had a recent COVID exposure or are showing symptoms to stay home and join us online until it is safe to return to class.

In-person students must be at least 18 years old to attend ASM. There is no maximum age limit. There are no age limits for online students wishing to attend ASM.

Applying

In-person students will have opportunities to learn inside the classroom, spend time in the prayer room, participate in local gatherings, and serve at national Altar conferences. Online students are able to view classes both live and on replay with 24/7 access.

The application fee is $50 for in-person classes.

Fall Semester

A non-refundable deposit equal to half of one semester’s tuition is due by July 1st ($624.50 for in-person students. $374.50 for online students. $774.50 for in-person and online). Tuition is due in full by August 1st.

Spring Semester tuition is due in full by December 1st.

Fall Semester tuition is due in full by August 1st.

Tuition for in-person students includes class enrollment, involvement in monthly outreaches, and two national conferences each year.
Tuition for online students includes the ability to view classes live, interact with professors, and have access to 24/7 replays of classes.

In-person students are responsible for housing and all personal living expenses. Travel and lodging will be covered for in-person students at national conferences. Students will be responsible for meals or any other expenses on these ministry trips. Students are also responsible for any books required by professors for coursework.

No. First-semester tuition is due in full by August 1st. Second-semester tuition is due in full by December 1st.

At this time we do not offer any scholarships or discounted tuition.

Since we are not an accredited university, we are not able to accept in-person international students at this time. International students are encouraged to enroll in our online school.

ASM does not provide housing or place students with roommates. However, the ASM application allows prospective students to indicate if they would like to have their contact info shared with other ASM students seeking roommates and we offer a list of recommended housing options upon acceptance.
